The problem

Cold emails open doors. Rooms close deals.

Attorneys refer the people they know and trust. That trust gets built at bar luncheons, trial lawyer conventions, CLE talks and the hallway between sessions. Most nurses don't know which rooms matter, when they meet, or what to do once they're inside.

Your plan for getting known by attorneys

The events list, with links

47 listings: 19 national conferences, 14 state meetings, 7 local groups and 7 CLE seminars. Dates, city, who's there (plaintiff or defense), and the official link. Filter by type and audience.

Refreshed every 3 months

The list is re-checked against each organizer's official page every quarter, so dates and links stay current. Brandy reviews each update before it goes live.

Speak for CLE credit

How continuing legal education approval works in general, talk ideas attorneys want, and where to pitch: county bars, trial lawyer and defense associations, Inns of Court, paralegal groups and firms.

Lunch-and-learns and lunches

How to offer a 30 to 45 minute talk at a firm, and how to invite one attorney to lunch and make it count.

Work the room, then follow up

Attendee, exhibitor or sponsor: what each gets you. What to bring, what to ask, and a 48-hour follow-up plan that uses the free email templates.

Stay top of mind online

A simple LinkedIn plan, post ideas that teach without patient details, and referral partners (paralegals, other experts) who send work your way.

Questions

FAQ

Is this for plaintiff or defense work?

Both. Every event is marked plaintiff, defense or both, and you can filter the list. Many nurse consultants work both sides; the playbook covers how to keep that clean.

How current are the dates?

Each event was checked on its official page, and the check date is shown. Events whose dates are not posted yet are marked that way. The list is refreshed every 3 months, and you should always confirm on the official page before booking travel.

Can nurses attend attorney conferences?

Many are open to non-lawyers as attendees, exhibitors or sponsors, and some are members only. The playbook shows how to check and what to ask the organizer.

Do I need the other tools?

No. The playbook works on its own, or as an add-on in The Expert Witness Toolkit with the CV & Fee Schedule Assistant and the LinkedIn Profile Optimizer.

Is this legal advice?

No. It is education and marketing guidance for nurses who do legal work. CLE, ethics and email rules vary by state.

Educational information only, not legal advice. Listing an event does not mean the organizer endorses The RN Consultant.
