What Should I Actually Do First? A Guide for New LNCs

Let me guess.

You’ve read the blogs. Watched the webinars. Maybe even bought a course or two.

And still… you're sitting at your kitchen table asking:

“But what do I actually DO next?”

You’re not alone.

Every week, I talk to bedside nurses who feel stuck in what I call “LNC Limbo” that weird space between knowing you want out of clinical burnout but not quite knowing how to step into this legal nurse world with any confidence.

So I’m going to cut through the noise and tell you exactly what I wish someone told me at the beginning:

You don’t need to have it all figured out. But you do need a strategy.

Not a logo. Not a fancy website. Not 47 hours of YouTube videos.

You need structure. And clarity. And traction. Fast.

Here’s what I did (and what I guide new LNCs through now):

  1. Picked one service to start with
  2. Make one simple intake form
  3. Reached out to 5 attorneys
  4. Created a case-tracking spreadsheet
  5. Offered to review a case on for merit

None of that was magic. It was just focus.

And that’s why I built this:

You don’t need to “wait until you’re ready.” You need to act while you’re curious and before analysis paralysis takes over.

Let’s get you unstuck.
